About
Night of Gladiators is a unique combat sports gala created from a passion for MMA, K-1, boxing, and true sporting values.
For several years, we have been bringing adrenaline-filled fights, strong emotions, and an unforgettable atmosphere to Veľký Krtíš and the surrounding region—an experience only an honest battle in the ring or cage can create.
Our goal is to support combat sports in Slovakia, create opportunities for talented fighters, and organize an event that connects athletes, fans, and entire families. Night of Gladiators is not only about victories and titles—it is about respect, discipline, determination, and the journey every fighter must take.
Each edition is carefully prepared to deliver high-quality bouts, professional organization, and a powerful sporting experience. We cooperate with clubs from across Slovakia and abroad, and we focus on fairness, safety, and a consistently high standard.
Pavel Berky
coach & founder of Fighting Academy Veľký Krtíš
The event was created and is led by Pavel Berky—coach and founder of Fighting Academy Veľký Krtíš. As a long-time coach and organizer, he actively contributes to the development of combat sports in the region and gives both young and experienced fighters the chance to show their talent in front of a live audience.
Under his guidance, fighters have grown who have succeeded on both the Slovak and international stage.
Pavel Berky
coach & founder of Fighting Academy Veľký Krtíš
Pavel Berky is the founder, head coach, and a long-time personality of Slovak MMA. In 2010, he founded FIGHTING Academy Veľký Krtíš, which he has systematically built into a stable club focused on MMA and related combat sports. Under his leadership, the club has raised several successful fighters and regularly participates in domestic and international competitions.
Before his coaching career, he served as a professional soldier, which is significantly reflected in his approach to training and leading athletes. He emphasizes discipline, responsibility, mental resilience, and respect for rules. He has long stressed that combat techniques belong in the gym, ring, and cage, not in everyday life.
In addition to his coaching activities, he is the organizer of the MMA event NIGHT OF GLADIATORS, which has established itself under his leadership as a respected gala and a significant platform for domestic and foreign fighters. The event contributes significantly to the development of MMA in the region and throughout Slovakia.
He also holds key positions within organized MMA:
- Vice President of the Slovak MMA Association,
- President of the XFC Slovakia organization,
where he is actively involved in the development of MMA, organization of competitions, and professionalization of the sport in Slovakia.
Under his guidance, FIGHTING Academy Veľký Krtíš athletes have achieved several significant successes on both the amateur and professional scenes—victories and podium finishes in national tournaments, participation in international events, and a stable representation of the club at domestic MMA gala evenings.
Pavel Berky is known for his direct and fair approach, emphasis on high-quality preparation, and long-term building of athletes and the entire MMA environment.
